Episode 5 - Let's Talk About Sex

Episode 5 - Let's Talk About Sex

Why does sex still feel like a sinful subject to talk about – especially in Christian circles? Churches don't discuss this topic enough, so it's up to you to figure it out on your own, right? You're left wondering how is sex before marriage a sin? Is it hard to control your desires while waiting for marriage?

In this episode, I'm bringing back my better half and my best friend, my husband, Jordan. We're having a whole podcast about S-E-X. That's right, we're answering YOUR questions about it!

Here are a few reasons to listen to the entire episode with Jordan:

  • why there must be boundaries when it comes to sex in marriage

  • how sex is a covenant

  • the things that have helped us most when we have been tempted

I want to give some context to what we are about to share — neither one of us did it the right way before we met each other. I was young, dumb, and honestly a slave to my flesh. Things got wild for me after my divorce and I started trying to fill a God-sized hole with men. One after the other after the other and every time it left me feeling more broken than the last. I made the decision that I was going to wait until marriage to have sex again before meeting Jordan. And that was a conversation that we had pretty much right away. If you listened to our “How We Met” episode — which if you haven’t, go listen to that one as well, we mentioned that briefly.
